News / Spring
Last Sunday we held our first in-store fashion show at Eden. We've done a fair number of fashion shows over the years, but always at other venues so this one was a first for us.
It took a bit of planning and organisation to optimise the boutique shop floor. The stockroom became the models dressing area (space was tight but it worked) and it saved us time because normally we have to transport everything required away from the shop. Overall we were really happy with the end result.
So just for you, here's a few short videos from our show -
We plan to host future events like this at Eden, so make sure you are signed up to receive our emails to be the first to know!
As we had a super day for it, we even managed to catch ourselves some sunshine on the terrace afterwards!
Myself and Alana after the event.
As it was also Alana's last week of her twelve week internship placement as part of her fashion management course it was good to go out on a high. I'll be a bit lost without her but she's left me a schedule to keep me in check now she's gone!
I hope you enjoyed the videos and blog, sign up to our newsletter & Eden edit for the latest happenings
As it is an exciting week here at the boutique with Alana, our intern's last week and also our fashion show, we thought we'd write a blog about a day in the life here at Eden.
We've been busy with the final preparations for our upcoming fashion show this Sunday. It is an in store event which we're naming - Catwalk, cava and cupcakes! If this sounds of interest to you and you would like to attend the event, there are still a few spaces left: http://bit.ly/2ofoCos click on the link to book your tickets.
That meant today was spent organizing the different outfits for our four models to showcase on Sunday. Then once we had figured out all the outfits to be worn, the running order then came together.
Another part of our day featured a visit from Intelligent POS digital marketing manager, Alan. We operate the till system through Intelligent, and he was visiting us for a chat about the system. This was a helpful discussion answering questions such as Eden's origin story and the challenges faced and overcome.
A new brand that came to our attention - Miss ShortHair, which we ending up placing orders for around 20 different kinds of scarfs. Hopefully we will receive the order in time for our fashion show.
Pictured below is one of the gorgeous Pom Pom scarfs that will be in store soon!
We appreciate you reading this weeks blog and hope you've enjoyed a little insight into a (typical) day in the life and some of the goings on here at Eden.
Easter weekend is here and we thought we would share some style advice to make for a fashionable few days ahead.
Meadow Print Maxi Dress
A floral day dress is great for a garden party or going out for lunch. With a tie at the back, it gives the wearer the ability to cinch in at the waist for a flattering look.
Protected Species Commuter
Depending where you'll be spending your easter weekend and what activities you'll be getting up to, this protected species waterproof jacket is perfect for keeping dry and looking stylish at the same time.
Hydestyle London Bag
A big shiny metallic bag is a must have this season! It can really help lift a casual outfit so why not show off your statement bag around town.
Nomads Print Jacket
The star print jacket by Nomads is a fantastic reminder of the brands genius for creating affordable and ethically produced clothes that are actually stylish. Not only are they contemporary but also are different enough from anything you'd find on the high street.
Fari Short Sleeved Top
This printed top is perfect for a chilled weekend at home as it is bright, cheerful and almost looks like a pattern of tiny eggs!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and thank you for taking time to read our blog post this week! Links to any of the products mentioned are available and are also stocked in store.
Time for a catch up...
Last friday was a great night here at Eden as we held our annual late night spring launch.
With the evenings getting lighter and the sunshine, it was nice to see all the current spring-wear pieces out of their boxes, on their hangers and being appreciated.
The boutique stayed open until 8pm to allow people to stop by and enjoy a drink and some nibbles, whilst they browsed the new collections.
Cava, cupcakes and catwalk
An exciting project we are currently organising is our next fashion show! This year, we thought we'd mix things up and host the fashion show in store!
This week the models have been trying on outfits ahead of the show and we have been planning the music and goodie bags.
The event offers complimentary cava on arrival, as well as cupcakes and of course the fashion show.
An arrival time of 2.30pm for guests then followed by a 3pm start for the show. The fashion show will be around 20 minutes to half an hour. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to shop the clothes feautured in the show.
Places are limited (and selling fast!) for our exclusive show but tickets are available for purchase either in store or on our website. Tickets are priced at just £5 each.
I hope that's kept you up to date with Eden. As always, thanks for taking time read this weeks blog post.
We may be in a transition weather period now that we are in spring but the sun is shining and soon enough we'll be in our favourite summery outfits to embrace the new season.
Pink is most definitely on the fashion radar. There are many variants of pink to look out for, outlined below are our favourite spring wear that we currently have instore and online at eden.
Rose gold metallic
Hydestyle London bag is pink suede on one side and metallic rose gold on the other. The messenger style bag is perfect for a day out and has two straps that can be removed.
If you prefer to stay clear of bright pinks them this Nomads raspberry double layer dress is the right shade for you! It is beautifully easy to wear dress perfect for a good weathers day in spring.
Even in spring with the temperature rising it is sensible and fashionable to layer. As show below the Selected Femme textured knit can be a good choice of knit to warm up with.
Lastly, this lovely Selected femme floral print blouse. Florals for spring may not be groundbreaking, however the chic grey tones in this beautiful blouse really elevate the style.
Thanks for reading this weeks blog post and I hope you will embrace the pink!
