Easter weekend is here and we thought we would share some style advice to make for a fashionable few days ahead.
Meadow Print Maxi Dress
A floral day dress is great for a garden party or going out for lunch. With a tie at the back, it gives the wearer the ability to cinch in at the waist for a flattering look.
Protected Species Commuter
Depending where you'll be spending your easter weekend and what activities you'll be getting up to, this protected species waterproof jacket is perfect for keeping dry and looking stylish at the same time.
Hydestyle London Bag
A big shiny metallic bag is a must have this season! It can really help lift a casual outfit so why not show off your statement bag around town.
Nomads Print Jacket
The star print jacket by Nomads is a fantastic reminder of the brands genius for creating affordable and ethically produced clothes that are actually stylish. Not only are they contemporary but also are different enough from anything you'd find on the high street.
Fari Short Sleeved Top
This printed top is perfect for a chilled weekend at home as it is bright, cheerful and almost looks like a pattern of tiny eggs!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and thank you for taking time to read our blog post this week! Links to any of the products mentioned are available and are also stocked in store.
Time for a catch up...
Last friday was a great night here at Eden as we held our annual late night spring launch.
With the evenings getting lighter and the sunshine, it was nice to see all the current spring-wear pieces out of their boxes, on their hangers and being appreciated.
The boutique stayed open until 8pm to allow people to stop by and enjoy a drink and some nibbles, whilst they browsed the new collections.
Cava, cupcakes and catwalk
An exciting project we are currently organising is our next fashion show! This year, we thought we'd mix things up and host the fashion show in store!
This week the models have been trying on outfits ahead of the show and we have been planning the music and goodie bags.
The event offers complimentary cava on arrival, as well as cupcakes and of course the fashion show.
An arrival time of 2.30pm for guests then followed by a 3pm start for the show. The fashion show will be around 20 minutes to half an hour. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to shop the clothes feautured in the show.
Places are limited (and selling fast!) for our exclusive show but tickets are available for purchase either in store or on our website. Tickets are priced at just £5 each.
I hope that's kept you up to date with Eden. As always, thanks for taking time read this weeks blog post.
The new Smash arrivals in store may be slightly too early to wear just yet, especially in the Scottish outdoors, but they are a definite must have for the spring wish list! Three dresses that feature in the new collection offer different styles to suit all tastes. With the help of Polyvore, these looks were effortlessly created, be sure to follow us on Polyvore at Eden-Fashion-Edinburgh.
Blue is set to be a big colour this coming season. The Cordate Dress (£49) has a striking tropical pattern and complimenting panels of indigo and turquoise. Attention to detail lies in the capped sleeves and the back yolk, which is crochet. Paired with the Selected Femme Half Moon Clutch Bag (£40), this outfit is perfect for dressing up.
Next, the Cristata Dress (£49), which is a feminine floral dream. It is also amazingly lightweight and has a flattering front side detail. This is an ideal day dress for spring and can be matched with a range of colours to compliment the dress.
Last but not least is the Divisa Tunic Dress (£54). This dress has a mesmerising mosaic pattern on the front, with magenta back, sleeves and tie belt. In addition to the contrast binding at neckline with curved vents at hemline. This dress is suitable for many occasions.
As always thanks for reading! These outfits are all available both online and in store at edenretail.
As the new season deliveries arrive I thought it was about time to have a proper wardrobe clearout, from time to time is essential to keep your style fresh, to make more room for new purchases! and to see what you already have before you hit the shops.
Firstly i thought about trying this method -
Turn all the hangers the wrong way round and then each time you wear something put it back the right way round. After a month have a look at the items that haven't been worn and then decide their fate but as its a complete pet hate of mine I didn't think this would work for me.
So I decided to call in the expert - Laura Russell, personal shopper, stylist and fashion blogger from Satisfashion to help me.
We chatted first about what I wanted to achieve and my style and then went through my whole wardrobe sorting into piles of clothes as we went along. Laura gave me lots of suggestions and some different ideas which I have been trying out.
I discovered I only own 1 skirt, not very many jumpers and possibly need to buy some different shoes and boots! I also tend to wear things a bit oversized and layer a lot too. I could also do with maybe a little bit more colour.
So maybe I should buy this coat!
I now have a much more organised wardrobe (and bags of clothes destined for the charity shop and eBay)
I highly recommend Laura from Satisfashion and am now looking forward to some more shopping (when I get the chance) with a clearer focus of what to buy.
Why not mix it up - from dressed up to dressed down, here are some ideas to try -
Take the Sunny jacket by Selected Femme - team it with a t-shirt and jeans for an every day look...
or instead why not pair it with the casual Finkenov tunic dress by Culture and dress it up
Which look do you prefer? Are you dress up or dress down today?
