Classic Denim

Posted by Alyx Middleton on

Denim is a trend that in my opinion will never go out of style. It is a trend that has been repeated throughout the decades, from Rock “n” Roll denim jackets in the 60s to flared jeans in the 70s. Denim is something you hold onto for years. It is not just a t-shirt you will wear once and never see again. From its sturdy material, clothing is made to last, which means they are timeless pieces that will last you a lifetime. Denim skirts were seen a lot on the runway for Spring/Summer 2019 in shows such as Coach and Sacai. Below is also a picture of our denim skirt, now in store.

In my opinion everyone needs a good pair of jeans and a denim jacket in their wardrobe. Unfortunately finding that perfect pair of jeans can sometimes be almost impossible. I have selected a few options below of jeans from the store. They each offer something different, catering for multiple figure types. My personal favourite is the kick flare blue denim jeans from b.young. If you want to make your legs appear longer than they actually are, then these are the ones for you. The kick flare is also a flattering size and won't make you look like not an extra from Saturday night fever.

Double denim. What do you think about it? I personally think when styled appropriately it can look great. However, when I hear those two words I automatically think of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in their matching “unique” double denim outfits from the American Music Awards in 2001. This duo gave us one of the most memorable red carpet looks of all time, however also managed to give double denim the bad rep that it still has today. If you think you can make double denim work then I would love to see. Send us a picture and show off your unique take on the denim trend.

See you next week.
