Take the stress out of your Summer holiday packing with our top tips.
Do you end up using less than half of what you actually pack? Is sitting on the suitcase until it is squeezed shut a familiar part of the packing experience? You are not alone in your over packing ways.
1. ROLL IT UP
One of the most important tips that can be shared when packing is the WAY you actually pack your clothes.
TIP - Rolling up your clothes is a great way to save space in your suitcase for other important items (shoes!!) and keeping your clothes as crease-free as possible!
TIP - Use every bit of space! Roll up underwear/vests and tuck it into shoes to utilise all available suitcase space.
2. LIMIT YOUR BAGS
Don't try and bring a bag for every outfit or possible occasion. Keep it simple with a day bag (which will be carried on the plane as hand luggage!) a bag for the evening such as a clutch and a bag for the pool and beach.
TIP - Choose a beach bag which can be easily folded up inside your suitcase to save space.
3. MULTI USE IS THE WAY FORWARD
Choose items which can be multi use! A great example of this is using your ipad case as a clutch for the evening.
TIP - Check out Dune for great iPad cases which double up as an evening bag.
4. WAKEN UP!
Long haul flights may require a few essentials in your hand baggage.
TIP - Dry shampoo can be a saviour to revive your locks. Try Batiste dry shampoo for an instant refresh.
Always keep a pack of wipes and some moisturiser handy to waken yourself up and give you a refreshed feel before stepping off the plane.
5. STAY ORGANISED
See through wash bags are your best friend.
TIP - Try and split up your products such as shower products in one bag and beach products such as sun protection in another to save yourself from rummaging around in one bag.
TIP - Limit your clothes by choosing items which can be worn more than once. Choose oversized shirts which can also be used for cover ups at the beach and for relaxing by the pool. Choose 100% cotton for easy hand washing and quick drying.
6. MIX AND MATCH
Choose a colour palette to base your selection of clothes on. This way you can mix and match pieces to create different looks with the change of a skirt and accessories. Of course, head on over and take a look at the latest arrivals at Eden for inspiration and ideas of what will be going in your suitcase!
